The New Opening Theory Of Fischer Random Chess With Rooks “c”, Bishops “a” & JG (Part 1)

The New Opening Theory Of Fischer Random Chess

With Rooks “c”, Bishops “a” & JG (Part 1)

(by Yury V. Bukayev)

If you want to play chess as White (and, it maybe, the Jerome gambit) with your dear opponent, but he wants to play Fischer random chess (chess960) as Black with you instead, then you can suggest him the following compromise. Thus, you can take a coin and suggest him the following: Let’s cast lots: will it be a front or a reverse of a coin? If there is a front then we’ll play Fischer random chess (nominally) with the initial chess position. If there is a reverse then we’ll play Fischer random chess with the changed initial chess position where Rooks are on c1, c8 and where Bishops are on a1, a8. I hope, you dear opponent will accept these “simple and natural” rules.

Thus, in the case of a reverse you have the certain initial position too. Why is it interesting for lovers of the Jerome gambit (JG)? It is alone of non-chess initial positions of Fischer random chess where the moves 1.e2-e4 e7-e5 2.Ng1-f3 Nb8-c6 3.Bf1-c4 Bf8-c5 4.Bc4xf7+ Ke8xf7 5.Nf3xe5+ Nc6xe5 6.Qd1-h5+ are possible.

Some months ago I have invented the following new theoretical opening way for this Fischer random chess “twin” of the standard system of JG:

(chess960) 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.Bxf7+ Kxf7 5.Nxe5+ Nxe5 6.Qh5+ Ke6?! 7.Qf5+! Kd6 8.b4! [White gets a strong and a very “romantic” attack.] 8…Bd4 [8…Bxf2+ 9.Qxf2!, and White stands better: his main threat is 10.Qd4+.] 9.Bxd4 Qf6 10.Bc5+ Kc6 11.d4 [11.Qh3 b6, and the fight continues.] 11…Qxf5!? 12.d5+! Kb5. Black’s King is here in a very large danger. White should choose among 13.a4 and 13.c4 with a strong attack in both cases. (The way 13.exf5? b6! is much worse for White.)

Can you say anything about possible finals of these very “romantic” attacks?
