I checked with Stockfish 16.1 after the game, and was surprised to find that the bot's move was its preferred move, too.

Common sense prevents you from thinking. Have less sense and you will make more sense.

Okay, things are settling down. My Queen should be able to out-play the bot's Rook.

After the game, Stockfish 16.1 informed me that about 1/5 of a pawn separated its evaluations of the top 10 possible moves. Although it hardly matters, 24...c5 was #9.

In the post mortem, the computer pointed out that after this move I had a checkmate in 15. Did I realize that during the game? Of course not. I just needed to make good moves.
